RIP Bushings (Resin Impregnated Paper)

The JV Company provides complete manufacturing and services of High Voltage RIP bushings rated up to 420 kV in production facilities based at Bhiwadi (Rajasthan), India. The firm will propose to share its unique experience with the most advanced production technology, as well as the technical expertise of its Russian counterpart, in the development, production, and delivery of high-quality HV RIP bushings to all of our esteemed customers in India and throughout the world.
It is used for dry bushings in which the main insulation consists of a core wound from crepe paper which is then impregnated with a curable resin. The outer insulation is a composite insulator with silicone sheds.
A resin-impregnated paper bushing can be provided with an insulating envelope (generally “Silicone Composite insulator”) in which case the intervening space can be filled with an insulating liquid or another insulating medium like polyurethane foam, gel, etc.
RIP bushing's Advantages
- The risk for fire is significantly reduced. In addition, the bushing can be installed in any mounting angle, oil leakage from the bushing together with monitoring of pressure & oil levels are eliminated.
- Non-brittle materials - The design with non-brittle materials increases the protection of people and equipment. The bushing withstands punch and impact to a much greater extent than oil impregnated bushings with porcelain insulators. The earthquake withstand is also increased.
- Light weight, compact - Bushings with its RIP body weigh less than comparable oil impregnated bushings and have a more compact design, thus RIP bushings are easy to transport and handle during installation and maintenance of the transformer and require less space inside the transformer.
